As you read this newsletter, you may notice that we have made an effort to present the information more concisely, making it easier for you to find the information that interests you.

As I explain in my first video, we are also endeavoring to expand the School of Continuing Education Web site to be of better service to our students.

Upcoming Academy of Lifetime Learning workshops

Our Academy of Lifetime Learning provides community members over the age of 50 an outlet for their creative and educational needs. A one-year membership ($35) includes exclusive luncheon lectures, social events, the option to purchase an EIU Recreation Center membership, reduced registration fees for workshops and tours, and tuition for one EIU credit course per semester.

Aging with Grace Conference

The Aging with Grace Conference, which will be free and open to the public, will include workshops by university deans, department chairs and annuitants, as well as a presentation by keynote speaker Dr. David Snowdon on his Alzheimer's disease research and book "Aging with Grace."
